NEWLimited 1500 Value Priced - WAS $325 Available only at The Toy Shoppe We worked very closely with Steiff to create our exclusive Little Max, second cub of Appolonia and Maximilian, our previous exclusive editions. Together we created a huggable, loveable and extremely appealing 18 inch bear. This toffee-colored mohair cub has all the best traits of mama and papa: soft, curly mohair, a stitched nose and a deep, rich growling voice. He is fully jointed for expressive posing. Around his neck, he wears a special blue leather collar adorned with his name on a golden plate. Little Max is part of the Teddy bear family created by Steiff exclusively for The Toy Shoppe. He and his sister, Zoe, love to spend time with their GrandPapa reading storybooks and playing the piano. The Teddy bear family is a wonderful collection, designed with the classic and traditional Teddy bear style and quality for which Steiff is known around the world. We are excited to bring them to our collectors! Little Max is a small, limited edition of 1500 pieces available only at The Toy Shoppe. The original suggested retail was $325. Pictured below with Little Max is his friend, Stuart, who is sold separately. Little Max's 6 inch blue friend, Stuart, is available for separate purchase. Steiff began in 1887 when Margarete Steiff created her first animal toy for children. Her nephew, Richard Steiff, designed a wonderfully jointed, mohair Teddy bear in 1902 based on his animal study drawings. That bear is the Father of the Modern Teddy bear we all know and love today. Steiff continues to make their limited edition Teddy bears and other animals by hand in the small town of Giengen, Germany.
