A very rare paper advertising fan from Argentina featuring the likeness of two of the Three Little Pigs and Shirley Temple standing at the door of Grandma's (Abuelita) house (artist identified as Amaya-- on lower left front). One pig holds a violin, the other a flute and Shirley Temple carries a basket with a bottle of wine; the images are still vibrant and crisp. The reverse is an advertisement for a 1930s confectionary/ice cream/coffee and tea cafe, located in the Santos Lugares area of Buenos Aires (proprietor: Tomas Moreno). The fan with wooden handle is approx. 11" long x 5 1/2" wide. T are some edge "bumps" and creases as well as some paper flaking on the reverse. T is also some light to moderate staining (most on the back, very minor on the front). The reserve price ($100.00) is commensurate with rarity and condition.
