My recently deceased father used to recondition & repair live steam engines & old electric toys, and this is one that he never got round to. I don’t know what make it is, but I’m sure you experts out there will. It’s not tested as the boiler leaked water when I filled it. There is a blob of solder hanging of the bottom of one end and a friend thinks it must have over-heated and melted the seam, but he did say it is probably fixable. The steam pipe is also a bit loose where it comes out of the top, but the safety valve is still sprung loaded and feels ok. The vertical mill (I think that’s what it is) looks ok. I haven’t been able to test it, but by turning the flywheel, it back-drives the piston smoothly. Because of thefaults listed and with the paintwork needing some TLC, it’s sold as seen. I shall be listing more steam bits over the next few weeks, so if you are into steam, then best put me into your favourites.
