Lladro Honors Abraham Lincoln - Like New! Lladro porcelain figurines are beautiful pieces are art. Several Americana pieces have been created by Lladro, including this Abraham Lincoln. This is Lladro #01007554, "Abraham Lincoln." It was issued in 1995 (limited to 2500) and retired in 2008. It is 21-1/4" x 11-1/2" and includes a base and in original box. The sculptor is Jose Puche.. During his childhood, Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) traveled up and down the Mississippi and had the opportunity to get to know first-hand the problems of slavery. That was when he promised to do everything in his power to fight it and that's exactly what he did. Once he became President of the USA, he proclaimed the emancipation of slaves in 1863. Lladró wanted to pay homage to this great historical figure with this piece, created in 1995It grows in value each year. Our current president says he takes his inspiration from Abraham Lincoln.
