This is such a sweet figurine! It would be a great gift for the cat (or mouse!) lover on your gift-giving list. The little white mouse always makes me think of Stuart Little. This piece was c reated by Juan Huerta, one of Lladro's best-loved sculptors for his charming depictions of young women, children, and animals. "Cat and Mouse" was first issued in 1984 and remains in production today. The first photo in this listing was taken by a professional; it shows off the figurine much better than my photos. :( If you've studied the Lladro trademark over time, from the early 1950's through today, you'll know that the mark on the bottom of this figure reveals that it was made in the mid-to-late 1980s. It's the full tulip mark, too, which tells you that this is a first-quality piece. (Be sure to check the trademark on Lladros before you agree to buy them; those with partially-removed trademarks are almost always factory "seconds.") This piece is in perfect shape, is approximately 3" tall, and has no chips, cracks, crazing, or other flaws, nor any repairs. It has been in a curio cabinet in a non-smoking home, and it is just one piece of a retired collection that I will be selling over the coming months.
