PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE JUST REDUCED THE PRICE ON THIS BEAUTIFUL LLADRO!!! Up for auction is the Lladro "Spirit of Shambala" also known as "Lions on the Limb", Lladro #1885 . This Lladro is a Special Limited Edition, produced only during 2003. There were only 1,000 produced of this piece and this particular one is #408 out of the 1,000. This is an outstanding large piece of art, measuring approximately 11" in height and 26 3/4" in length. It comes with the base that was originally sold when you purchased this Lladro. This sculpture was created by Lladro to pay homage to the work of Tippi Hedron and the Roar Foundation created for the benefit of wild and dangerous animals. Lladro donated a percentage of the sales from this edition to support this wildlife preserve. This Lladro was created by the Lladro artisan Antonio Ballester and decorated by S. Rodriguez. The signature of both of these gentlemen are on the bottom of the piece. The last retail price for this item was $1,000 in 2003 and it currently sells for UP TO $1,800 in the open market.
