This is one of a series of dessert plates for the LNER depicting Cathedrals in Eastern England This was produced by Wedgwood circa 1935 in the Catherine Shape as supplied to the Empress Catherine ll of Russia by Josiah Wedgwood in 1774 The Cathedral shown on this plate is York Minster from the South West. Sadly this plate has a small chip on the right edge hence the low starting price
