You are bidding on a Beautiful Old Style Lager Low Profile Cone Top Beer Can from the Heileman Brewing Company, La Crosse, Wis. O.K. s the story for those of you who love to hear about beer can finds. In August of 2006, I went to a garage sale to check out some beer cans that were listed in a classified add. To my amazement, I found a Pabst Export with opening instructions and a silver Hamm's can, both in excellent condition. I immediately paid the woman what she was asking for the cans and asked if she had anymore. She told me that she did have some other cans but that she had given them to her brothers and sisters as a gift. She went on to say that her and her husband had purchased an old building in southern MN which was once an old print shop. When her husband cleaned out the attic of the building he found several old beer cans including several with "Funny bottle shaped tops." I told her that they were called cone top beer cans and that they were actually quite rare if found in good condition. She said, "That's too bad because my husband left several of them up in the attic." My heart began to race as I questioned the woman, trying to figure out exactly w that building was.
