A.4-1/2" Stainless Steel Blade (top of blade notched for thumb placement) Single Brass Hilt Border Patrol Black & Red Micarta Handle w/ LanyardBrass Escutcheon Plate / Compass in Butt End Black Sullivan Model A Sheath Never Used / Never Sharpened / Never Carried New Randall Made Knives Carry CaseNear Mint Condition 's some general information about this model knife from the Randall website: Model 23 "Gamemaster" -- 4 1/2" blade of 1/4" stock. Top cutting edge sharpened approximately 2.5". 4 1/2" - 5/8" leather handle. Brass hilt and duralumin butt cap. A variation of the Model 19, serving the same purposes, developed because of popular demand for a knife with these characteristics. Top edge is for heavy-duty cutting. Top of blade in front of hilt notched for thumb placement. (Wt. 7-8 oz.) My summary: suffice to say, this is one you don't see everyday. For consideration is a Randall / Stoddard's Boston model 23 "Gamemaster" loaded with bells and whistles. It's definitely "collection material" as Stoddard's is no longer a Randall dealer. 's what you're looking at: Randall "Gamemaster" with a 4-1/2" stainless steel blade that's notched on top for thumb placement. The knife comes with a single brass hilt and a black and red micarta handle with lanyard in the border patrol configuration. As icing on the cake, the handle is fitted with both an escutcheon plate and a compass. The knife is in near mint condition with only extremely light handling on the escutcheon plate. The knife is paired with a black Sullivan model A sheath with plain salmon sharpening stone in the pouch. The sheath is correctly stamped 23 on the back -- you'll find an unused plain salmon sharpening stone in the pouch. One small dent at the throat from storage... that's about it. Like the knife, the sheath is near mint. I've included a new Randall Made Knives carry case so you have a safe place to store the knife.
