This particular school belt / tawse (3 tails) is made of thick, dense, hard leather but will bend and coil easily. It is in excellent condition however has some slight nicks and scratches. It has the stamp of XH (Extra Heavy) on the handle and is of a similar thickness to 3 x £1 coins stacked on top of each other. This tawse would be considered to be quite severe if applied to the palms of the hand. This tawse is approximately 24" in length and is in very good condition.
