LOCKE AND CO. ANTIQUE RETICULATED PORCELAIN POTPOURRI DISH A dainty little peach and cream colored porcelain reticulated potpourri dish by Locke and Co. of Worcester, England! This small piece has an attached top (does not separate from the body of the dish) and a small scalloped pedestal embellished with a leaf pattern. The cover is embellished with a reticulated leaf pattern and there is a hole in the center that allows you to place potpourri inside. The dish is 4" in diameter and the pedestal is 2 1/2" in diameter. The entire piece is about 2 3/4" high. The edges of the cover, pedestal, and hole in the center of the cover were originally gilded, but much of the gilding (especially around the edges of the cover) is now lost. There is some dirt or discoloration around the bottom edges of the openwork on the cover. The bottom of the dish is stamped with the mark of Locke & Co. Ltd, Worcester, England. This version of the mark (without a factory name included) indicates production between 1895 and 1902. The bottom is also hand numbered 36. Stay tuned!
