Another work of Art from the craftsman of Loetz....a XTRA Rare Art Glass Vase shaped rather fantastically like a hot air balloon! The AusfÃ¼hrung 22 Blitzglass line is seldom seen offered for sale. The meticulously applied threading which makes up the bottom section of the glass is affixed to the green ballon shape with three glass tethers! All surfaces are iridescent. The rim is fire polished and without fault. The pontil is factory polished. The playful shape is perfectly executed, balanced in every way. The Bauer or E. Prochaska design is exceedingly rare. Size: this piece has significant presence at 11.5 " tall Condition: the piece is in XFINE condition, showing only the textures imparted upon it in its making. T age appropriate signs of use only. I have very carefully inspected the vase and can find no chips, no cracks and no restorations. The symetrically placed holes in the bulbous section have some slight roughness to them from over 100 years of use. The piece would be suspect without them.
