This incredibly well executed vase was made by the artisians of Loetz around 1900. Its formal name is Loetz Bronce Glatt (base color) Phanomen Genre 7801 (style of decoration) ...a very fine example! Not all Loetz Phen 7801 was created equal. This one is the one you want!... Its iridescence is bright and lively with strong pink and blue tones. The decoration, clean and very crisp, consists of four double pulls up and four pulls down, of a highly iridescent silver blue which shows spectral color changes. This form of decor has often been referred to as the "pulled feather technique". The classic shape has a flared rim and corseted waist. The rim is fire polished and without fault. The pontil is factory polished. Size: 5 1/2" tall Condition: the piece is in FINE condition, showing only the textures imparted upon it in its making. T are no chips, no cracks, no restorations. Some misguided owner added a fake Tiffany signature, as pictured. Attribution: this decor is well documented in Ricke and the current Cantz book on Loetz as well as the wonderful Loetz web site, which shows a nearly identical vase. Warranty: I fully guarantee this vase to be original Loetz Phen Gre 7801.
