STUNNING LOETZ VASE MARIE KIRSCHNER w. SILVER OVERLAY c. 1905 This auction is for a very decorative and highly collectible LOETZ glass vase with a fine silver overlay Â- design by Marie Louise KIRSCHNER. The vase is made of mouth blown glass in dark violet to light violet color with a fine silver overlay which shows the décor of chestnuts and leaves; hand signed on the bottom with the number: 720/3/510. Johann Loetz founded Loetz in Klostermuehle, he died 1848, the Loetz factory was initially operated by his wife under the name Glasfabrik Johann Loetz-Witwe, they presented at the International exhibition in Paris / France, special designers who worked with Loetz: Koloman Moser and Josef Hoffmann and Marie Kirschner, Robert Holubetz and Jutta Sika the famous Austrian designers in time of the Wiener Werkstätte / Wiener Werkstaette.
