General - 1/2 Pint cobalt blue Hutch Soda, hand applied blob top, BIMAL.Embossing - "J.A. Lomax 14,16 & 18 Charles Place, Chicago". Shoulder has Trade mark Logo, 4 bottles formed around J.A.L. ,outside logo Trade Mark Registered. Back embossed "This Bottle Must Be Returned". Base embossed "J.L."Glassworks - UnknownColor - Cobalt BlueSize - 6-3/4" Tall 2-3/4" at base, thick heavy glass.Circa -1885Condition - A nice solid example. No chips,cracks or bruises.Embossing is strong on J.A. Lomax and Chicago and weak on address and back embossing, as most of these are. It has a potstone on front that is part of a bubble and the bubble has a small hole in it where potstone is. Bottle has case/use wear and scratches. There is haze inside and some on outside. Otherwise solid with great color.Summary - Good example of classic 1885 cobalt Hutchinson soda.Nice bottle for Chicago collectors or any bottle collection.Thanks for viewing.Bottle will be packed carefully.
