GENUINE GRINDLEY SIGNAL BOX TRAIN REGISTER BOOK 1937 TO 1938 London and North Eastern Railway Train Register Book December 1.07.1938 on to 22.01.1938 for GRINDLEY This is a signal Box Register Company London and North Eastern Railway at the height of the steam era.prior to the lead . Company stationery code is O. 6261 although it is much larger size than the other lot I am auctioning.16'' by 10 3/4 '' inches 41 cms by 27 cms It shows the daily listings of trains signalled through this particular Box GRINDLEY. A hand filled register has some soiling of the cover as handled, also some of the pages have creased corners which have been flattened certainly does not detract fro the interesting reading all written with pen and ink.Some of the corners pages creased turned in Cover corners of the pages folded over . The spine has been repaired with tape.(Looks contemporary). Cover as shown in photos frail edges torn off in places. Front cover states LNER 1123/1/36 1500 bks,250 lvs. O. 6961 London North Eastern Railway .............................................
