For auction is a formica route map from a Northern Line 1972 tube stock tube train. It is dated 4/71, and is original to when the stock was built. It has 'BRENT' (now Brent Cross) and 'STRAND' (now Charing Cross) displayed. This map has a transfer applied underneath Strand indicating its closure and future reopening as Charing X. It is in superb condition and has a slight shading around the edge in places where it has sat in the map frame since 1972! Other than that it would be an excellent addition to any LU collection. These are quite hard to find these days, as all tube train route maps are now paper. The original formica maps were sadly lost when the stock was scrapped mid 1990's.Superb bright, fresh clear colours, no fading or cracks at all. A real gem of UndergrounD history!Good luck bidding!Size: 6.5" x 55
