Bought from the London Transport Museum Friends stand at Acton a few years ago this sign is 5ft x 7 1/2 Inches and is a Piccadilly line internal tube car sign. It has Heathrow Central is on the map (Heathrow Central station was opened in 1977) Therefore it dates between 1977 - 1983. It also features Aldwych as a branch. It has damage at one of the ends (Photo shows this) but if you have a jigsaw you will be able to cut it off to neaten it off. It is printed on small thin board which is then stuck to 3.5mm MDF. Where it has been sitting in a tube car it has bent into a gentle curve. It is original, I have not modified it, drawn on it or damaged it in any other way, in good condition otherwise. I would feel worried about posting this as it is only a small amount of MDF that it is backed on so it could break in post transit. Therefore I am asking for pick-up from my house. Any questions feel free to ask, I have one other sign for sale so check that out too PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT PRINTED ON PAPER, IT IS PRINTED ONTO LAMINATED MDF AND I HAVE NOW FOUND OUT IT IS FROM A 1973 STOCK UN-REFURBISHED CARRIAGE. IT IS NOT PAPER OR CARD AND CANNOT BE BENT OR FOLDED.
