What a beautiful addition to your collection of Mille Fleurs sterling! Or if you happen to collect old patterns and sterling items. Definitely turn of the century No monograms This beautiful olive spoon is in absolutely fantastic condition, showing very few of the expected use and/or storage scratches of estate sterling. T are no discernable dents or distortions. T are no monograms or signs of removal. The spoon is solid sterling and fully hallmarked as such by International Silver - the old shield hallmark. It really is in marvelous condition to be as old as it is. The bowl of the spoon has fanciful cutouts to allow the olive juice to drain and is smooth and snag free with no alteration of the cut-out pattern. This spoon is is 8 1/2 inches long and weighs 36 grams. Please view the pictures carefully. I generally take my photographs outside in sunlight to accurately depict the colors and conditions of the items I am offering. This time, the weather has turned exceedingly hot in Florida and I retreated to the shade of a crepe myrtle to take the pictures. So, if you see any discolorations or other anomalies that would indicate damage, it is either the sun, the clouds, the trees, or me. When it is safely possible, I try to combine shipments to save on postage and packaging requirements. T are some instances w that may not be possible, so if you have won more than one auction, please wait until you receive an invoice from me. As always, shipping amounts are estimates only and I always refund any overages that may occur. I try to fully and faithfully disclose any irregularities I find but I am far from perfect and some things may escape my detection. When damage (no matter how minute) I try to make sure that it is clearly depicted in the photos. Also, while I thoroughly wash and hand-polish every piece of sterling that I sell, I do not have the time or the inclination to get out a toothbrush and clean every little nook and cranny of the more intricate designs unless build-up or tarnish is excessive. They belong to a friend who is in the precious metals business. He has a warehouse that is stockpiled with sterling items that he has purchased over the last 28 years of business, including more than 100 different silver flatware sets. With the soaring price of silver, he had decided to send them all to the smelter to be melted down. Instead, I convinced him to let me try to offer them on Ebay so that they would not be destroyed. I know that t are silver lovers out t that wish to harken back to the days of genteel dining and gracious living.
