Description: THIS AUCTION LISTING IS FOR " THE LONGFELLOW HOUSE, CAMBRIDGE " etching by EDMUND H GARRETT . COMES WITH ORIGINAL LETTERPRESS SHEET. ETCHING IS UNTRIMMED WITH ORIGINAL FOLIO EDGE. A GEM! SCAN NOTE - print's margins cropped in scan to save on file size (actual print has wider margins and matting framing will be fine). Sheet is about 11x17", artwork scanned at .96 on the scanner so shows around actual size -- if you need precise art area measurements please email me. Am providing two scans (one of the art and the other a closeup). I apologize for the quality of my scans... using a WorkForce500 which sometimes isn't very clear. Suffice to say the actual etching is far nicer than my scan). Type of Print: Genuine etching, produced one-side only. Margins cropped in scan, actual print has ample margins and sheet is quite large. Year: 1880 Condition and Comments: BEAUTIFUL very fine condition -- art area is perfection. A couple trivial marginal blemishes can be expected but this etching will matt and frame nicely and will be a showpiece for your collection.
