This is an awesome set of vintage lionel trains, track, and accessories--O Gauge. Included with this listing is a total of 16 trains, including 3 engines. This set was stored away for many years. I believe that it will work well--the engines need oil and perhaps a tune-up. It includes all of the original paperwork, including the following, as pictured: Original Lionel Trains Instruction booklet from 1948; instructions for operating Lionel 'Multi-Control" Transformers; Lionel Remote Control Couplers; How to Operate Lionel automatic Accessories Using No. 153C Contactor--No. 151 Semaphore, No 152 Crossing Gate, No. 153 Block Signal and No. 45 Gateman; How to Operate No 3462 Automatic Milk Car with Unloading Platform; How to Operate No 154 Crossing Signal for "027" and "0" Gauge Track; How to Install and Operate No. 394 Rotary Beacon; How to Install No. 145C Track contactor; and No. 3656 Stock Car Outfit plus advertising cards, Lionel Service Stations, and Jr. Engineer Easy-to-follow Instruction Book. I believe that all of the above mentioned trains and accessories are included in this set. Included in this set/listing are 25 straight and 31 curved track pieces. Some of the track pieces have rust on them from being in storage. I put some of the track pieces together, including the ones with rust and the trains still move easily, manually on the track. IAlso included, as in the photos are; Multi-Control Transformer - Type 1033 90 watts--works--hums and provides sparks when wires are attached. Also a few contactors and extra wires. Total of 3 Engines: One #2026 w/original box. This number 2026 seems good and that it will work---I believe the light on the front of the engine came on when tried on the track. A second engine, # 565 that I think is missing its front wheels if it is supposed to have front wheels. It is a smaller engine--the wiring appears intact--the front piece has been removed to replace a bulb--the front piece is included. A third engine, #2018.-This one looks good. email me if you would like closer up photos of the engines. All 3 are heavy cast iron. I set up the track and the transformer to test the trains---there is juice as I got the 2 accessories that I tried to work, which leads me to believe that all of the accessories would work; the engines did not move on there own but one did light up and there were some sparks which tells me that they would work with some oil and a tune-up. I believe the the transformer works as it does hum when on and does provide some electricity---ie. the sparks when I move the engine manually. Also included are the cars shown in the photos, which include a Sunoco Oil Tank car; 2 cabooses, #3462 Automatic Refrigerated Milk Car w/ milk cans and platform-very cool; a cattle car w/small plastic cows #3656--very cool. #2460 awesome 6 wheel Bucyrus Erie crane car--looks great; 2 whistle tenders, one w/original box plus other miscellaneous train and track parts. One of the tenders is heavy cast iron, the other is lighter. I count a total of 16 trains including the 3 engines. As for accessories, there is a large green tunnel, #151 Semaphore w/box; #394 Beacon w/box--the beacon looks new and unused; crossing gate, block signal, gateman, and a few contactors as pictured. Even included are Lionel Smoke Pellets, one post lantern; signs and a record with "Lionel train sound effects" Please email with any questions.
