This is a very large brass cow bell cast by Chiantel in Saignelegier, Switzerland. On the bell it has in raised embossed letters Fondeurs- Chiantel- Saignelegier. The bell has a man with a rifle or stick in his hand on it and a large sun plus a woman and other stuff on it. Plus it has designs at the top and on the bottom. I took a lot of pictures so you can tell what is on it. The bell is 7 1/4" wide and 6 1/2" tall. It has the clanger in it also. It is 5" long with a 1 1/4" ball on it. It has a real nice sound to it. The strap that is in the picture did not come with it. I put that on it so you could see how big the cow would have had to been to ware it! It is as big around as my truck tire! It's weight is around 4pd's,or so. This is the only one I have ever seen this big befor,most are little tiny one's. It will really add to your collection or hang it on a BIG COW you don't like!
