Here is an outstanding 1924 – side logo and bottom marked 6” tall by 6 3/8” wide (from the tip of the spout across to the opposite side of the handle) 10 oz. silver plate coffee pot made for the Los Angeles Biltmore Hotel that was located in Los Angeles, California. Anything from this hotel is considered very rare and is highly sought after. If you collect vintage Biltmore or historic Los Angeles items, you might want to consider this piece for y our collection. Historically, the Los Angeles Biltmore was officially opened in 1923 by then hotel magnet, John M. Bowman, who’s Bowman Hotel Company, operated several other upscale Biltmore Hotel’s across the county. The Los Angeles Biltmore was considered the largest hotel west of Chicago and was considered one of the largest in the Country in 1923 with its 1120 rooms. The impressive 11-story hotel was built aat Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles at 506 S. Grand and 515 S. Olive. Pershing Square was named after the famous Gen. John Joseph "Black Jack" Pershing in 1918. The hotel was considered by many as the most luxurious and well-appointed modern hotel when opened in 1923.
