I am having surgery on Thursday, Sept. 25th. so I may be a wee bit slow to answer emails/questions for a few days tafter. I appreciate your patience and interest in my treasures! DESCRIPTION: This is an SUPERLATIVE bracelet that was handwrought in Taxco, Mexico, after 1948 , by renowned silver maestros, LOS CASTILLO. LOS CASTILLO was established by Antonio Castillo (?-2000) and Margot van Voorhies Carr (Margot de Taxco ~ his wife at the time ~ they divorced ten years later) and his brothers in 1939. Maestro Castillo started out his long career by working at Taller de Las Delicias for William Spratling. This bracelet is masterfully crafted in a classically elegant, early Los Castillo design that has a great art deco flair. It consists of six heavy cast sterling links in a "stepped" design ~ the centers have large silver demi sps with hand chased circular designs on the top. Each link is connected to the next with three silver soldered oval rings that are part of the design which gives this bracelet wonderful flow. The clasp is a tongue and box closure that works perfectly and closes with a crisp 'click' ~ t is an attached safety chain. LOS CASTILLO jewelry is sought and prized by serious collectors worldwide ~ this bracelet is extremely well made and comfortable to wear ~ it is museum/heirloom/collector quality ~ simply, THE BEST!!!
