I have up for auction a beautiful 2 7/8" long beveled Lost Lake arrowhead from the collection of the late John Thorougood from Grayson Co., VA. I recently bought a part of the cream of his collection which encompassed many southern and southeastern states. This delicious point, made of pink chert is likely from Georgia or Florida. It dates from the Early Archaic era which makes it 9,000-6,000 years old. It is artistically flaked with the presence of mineral deposits and is heavily patinated. The base is heavily ground, the tip is needle sharp, and t is no visible damage. This point is nigh perfect! As we say in the relic trading business, "This one is a no brainer". I am so confident that this point will bring its true value I am starting it low with no reserve. Overstreet values this point between 700.00 and 1,200.00 See page 432 of his 2007 book for confirmation. Don't miss this one. I don't have too many left from the Thorougood collection and no more like this one. This is a verified find and guaranteed to be authentic. I offer a 14 day money-back return with no questions asked. Please note: Payment must be made through Paypal within 48 hours of auction end. Any alternative method of payment must be approved prior to auction end. Thank you. Please visit my other auctions. Thanks, Dan Gilliam (Google me) I am a proud member
