Banking Covers of R. S. Roseberry -- Colonial Missionary Guinea -- French West Africa Lot of five related covers, French West Africa and the Banque Francaise de l'Afrique to Robert S. Roseberry, American, of the evangelical Christian and Missionary Alliance. His books include The Niger Vision , Black Magic , and The Soul of French West Africa . These covers are mainly his correspondence with bankers in Conakry in 1927-1928. These covers, a bit tattered, are all canceled in Guinea.1. Bank in Conakry to Roseberry in Kankan (with Kankan backstamp)2. ditto3. ditto4. A piece with two x 50f stamps cancelled in Kankan5. A related piece from a certain C. Lewis to Helen Bradley canceled in Kouroussa.Conakry and Kankan are terminals of the French colonial railway from the Atlantic to the Niger, with Kouroussa (actually on the Niger) along the way.
