A book that is in G condition will have more wear than average, but it will not have any major flaws that would make it unreadable or horribly unsightly. The cover may be a little soiled and/or tanned from age and will have moderate or more edge wear. There may be some creasing on the front, back and/or spine. The spine may be a little faded, lightly slanted and/or a little cocked. Clear tape may have been applied at the top or bottom of the spine to repair a small tear. There may be a name, inscription or bookstore stamp inside somewhere. The pages will be tight, but they may be a little less crisp than when new, may show some age tanning, and may have the odd small smudge, stain and corner fold. Two or three pages may have a very small edge tear.
A book that is in NF condition will be almost like new. The cover may have minor edge wear and the pages may show a little age tanning.
