LOT 3 BAILEY STANLEY Vintage Metal Hand Plane No 4,5&8 This is a great set of vintage primitive antique hand planes for that die hard collector or tool lover. The first large plane is a number 8 as indicated in raised letters in the front of the wooden knob. The bottom plate is 23 1/2" long by 3" wide. The wooden handle has a gold metal plate on each side. On top of the top steel plate ins the inscription: STANLEY PAT APL 19. 92 Next is a No. 5 hand plane as indicated in the back by raised letters. It is 13 1/2" long and has 10 grooves on the bottom plate. The name BAILEY is in raised letters in the front of the wooden knob. In raised letters in front of the handle of the handle it states: PAT'D MAR. 25-02 AUG 19-02 APR. 19-10 Lastly t is a smaller plane that is a No. 4. The bottom steel plate is 9" in length and 2 1/2" wide. The name BAILEY is indicated in raised letters in front of the wooden knob and the name STANLEY is on one of the steel pieces.
