Up for sale is a fabulous set of 36 readers! These are Penguin Readers for Level 2- Elementary School level. This set is a great way to introduce your child to the classics in a way they will enjoy. These are actually for helping teach English as a second language but they are great for homeschooling. The actual books have been summarized on a lower elementary grade level. Now your second or third grader can enjoy classics such as White Fang or Black Beauty. As per the back cover: "Penguin Readers are simplified texts, designed in association with Longman, the world famous educational publisher, to provide a step-by-step approach to the joys of reading for pleasure. Each book has an introduction and extensive activity material. They are published at seven levels from Easystarts (200 words) to Advanced (3000 words)." This listing is for 36 of the Elementary Level 2 (600 words). The books are all in great shape and appear unused. They do show a small amount of shelf wear around the edges.
