INDIANA DISABLED VETERANS LICENSE PLATE KEY TAGS 1942, 1949,1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954 AND 1955 These tags are all in very good condition and present well. Please feel free to ask any questions. The story of these tags is as follows: The Disabled American Veterans issued these miniature key chain tags from 1940 to 1976. In 1976 the right to privacy laws prohibited them from securing registrations. Early tags were printed on cardboard, laminated, and enclosed in metal frames with a separate metal back. In the 1950's the same cardboard tag was enclosed in plastic. Later in the 1950's a plastic one piece tag was hot stamped, but the design was dropped and the return to the metal tag followed. The late 1960's saw the introduction of the aluminum enclosed cardboard. Random filling of these, created left and right hand versions. Each tag was sent in pairs, which are hard to locate now. Tags with license numbers were discontinued in 1975 and 1976. Just one more bit of the American relegated to the history books. These were the exact words take from my Dad's book, "Antique Automotive Collectibles" on page 139 and some are pictured in figure 41. Please feel free to ask any questions. This item and thousands more to come in the next few months are from my Fatherâe(tm)s private collections. Jack Martells , my Dad, passed away two years ago. He wrote three books on collecting all of which went to HARD COVER . They included âeoe The Beer Can Collectorâe(tm)s Bible âe, âeoe The Cone Top Collectorâe(tm)s Bible âe and âeoe Antique Automotive Collectibles âe. I and another Ebay id will be selling literally thousands of items from all of his various collections. Some of which include ALL ANTIQUE hubcaps, spark plugs, farm & automotive wrenches, gas & oil items, automobilia, tin advertising, NASCAR, tin toys, Mcdonaldâe(tm)s toys, STAR WARS, miniature bottles, beer cans, military, rock & minerals, coins, stamps, HOT WHEELS, movie memorabilia, Shirley Temple, die cast cars, dolls and much more. Please refer to our feedback and shipping info. We COMBINE SHIPPING ON EVERYTHING . We have found that because of all the variety, many people buy a number of items from different categories. We wait for payment on many things while other items are selling to combine multiple sales. We also offer a 3 day return if we agree we have misrepresented an item in any way. My fatherâe(tm)s collections were so carefully put together over the years and you will find the condition of most everything is excellent. My father had good eye for the rareness and uniqueness of various things. You will enjoy seeing some of the items being listed soon. Thanks! Glenn E. Martells
