LARGE LOT OF 83 OLD QUILTING PIECES - some completely stitched by hand with lovely vintage cotton prints . . . Twenty three (23 ) seven-point stars set in petite blue/white gingham - these are very old, some of the background is slightly discolored - stitched together by hand. These pieces are wonderful combinations of great vintage fabrics and are 10-11" wide. Fourteen (14 ) baskets, again, pieced together by hand, in various colors. These are 13" wide. Not especially well done . . . points don't all meet w they should. Fifteen (15) circular pieces (dresden plate? I'm not a quilter) in various colors - centers are open. These are machine sewn. Thirty (30) squares in the same pattern, different fabrics. They are 10" square. Machine sewn. One (1) lone square 11", good condition.These pieces are sewn with wonderful old prints - see photos - and have been stored for many years. Some of them display some staining. It doesn't appear to be rust, which is difficult to remove from vintage fabrics - I would hope that a delicate soak will remove the slightly old smell and the stains. Most of the pieces are just perfect . . . but a few aren't - just so the new owner is aware . . . even so, every one of them is a "keeper". Great combinations of fabrics - bright colors - reminiscent of the early to mid 1900's. Someone began this project long ago . . . and I'm hoping that someone else will complete it . . . . . will give these pieces new life. BID NOW and Enjoy!!
