You are Buying Lot of 5 Circa 1910 Tobacco Flannel Flags all Irish. I will split up this lot just tell me what you want and what you will pay. Scans shows both sides of of flannels

#1 3 3/4" BY 6 1/4" Reverse shows remdnant of original sticker rare never has been washed

#2 7 1/2" BY 10 3/4" reverse has tiny remdant of original sticker and glue from sticker.

#3 8" BY 11 1/2 "

# 4 9" BY 12" Reverse has tiny remdant of original sticker

#5 10 1/2" BY 15" The front is some what dirty and therefore it is not as bright as beautiful as the other 4. The sixe of this one makes it very rare.

These were premiums from the American tobacco Company in 1910 to 1912 The smaller ones were inserted into packs of cigarettes, these are premium-sized

(5 1/2" X 8 1/2") were only available in exchange for coupons, Aesthetically, these are endlessly pleasing. Condition throughout is at least Excellent to Mint, and some examples are so fresh that they look like they did nearly 100 years ago. A nearly impossible-to-replicate display from this unexploited niche of Americana collectibles.

You may also wish to know that I will be I will be listing all 800 of these flannels that I own. These were cigarette premiums. They were packaged most commonly with Egyptienne Straights and Luxury Cigarettes many have a New York factory/district hand stamp on back).

including the intact colored fringe on either end, and are made of a felt or a light canvas material. The designs are attractive "Persian carpet" or “Indian Rugs”designs The smaller versions are nice to use as carpets in a doll house.

From a collecting standpoint, they're even more special, as a number of scarce types that are seldom seen in the organized hobby are represented. The group features over 300 different flag themes (including six of the rare large-sized types), more than 200 "Oriental" rug styles of various sizes, over 200 American Indian types (including those with portraits, Native American art, animal pelts, and the good luck symbol "swastika"-like character), 30+ butterflies, a few animals, ten soldiers, and, in general, a myriad selection of designs. Condition throughout is at least Excellent to Mint, and some examples are so fresh that they retain the fragile paper tagging from the manufacturer. A nearly impossible-to-replicate display from this unexploited niche of Americana collectibles.
