This auction is for eleven (11) authentic prehistoric artifacts found in Ohio. Six were found in Ashland County, one was found in Licking County, and the other three are from unknown counties in Ohio. I bought these back in 1999 on eBay, so I did not personally find them, but I guarantee that they are authentic prehistoric artifacts with no modern re-chipping. The "BT" on the back of each point represents my initials as I had lent them to a local museum and didn't want them confused with other artifacts. This, as well as the other writing on the backs, can easily be removed as it is written on nail polish. A variety of fine Ohio flints are present in the group including Flint Ridge flint and Upper Mercer (Coshocton) gray and brown flints. Most of the points look to be from the Archaic period, including two Early Archaic Kirk Stemmed points. A few of the points could be categorized as Early to Middle Woodland. The best of the bunch in my opinion is a beautiful cream/pink glossy side-notched point made of Flint Ridge flint. With that said, it would have put a smile on my face to have found any one of them. This is a great small collection for anyone interested in Ohio flints and represents over 6,000 years of human history. More authentic artifacts coming when I have time to post them, so check back often. Guaranteed Authentic, AACA read more
