This is for a Lot of 2 "Erzgebirge" "Expertic" Wooden Pieces from German Democratic Republic. (GDR) The tall Bird House, has the red label, marked as written above. It has a Blue Bird with yellow beak & pink breast, feeding her baby bird, who's yellow beak & touch of blue are poking out of the birdhouse. At the base there is another blue bird, 3 flowers, one leaf that's attached & one that has fallen off. (still there, as shown in photo #6) There is one leaf missing. The birds on this pc. are nicely detailed. This is 5" tall, the base is 1 3/4" in Diameter. On the bottom of this is written '93. The Larger Pc. is unmarked, however, as a collector of "Erzgebirge" Wooden Figures for more than 25 years, I know them when I see them, many just have a label, like pc. #1. This has an Angel with Perfect Wings, she's holding mandolin type instrument, 2 perfect birds singing along with her & another perfect bird singing on top of the perfect birdhouse. The Base is 3" wide by 2 1/4" in Depth. It's 3 1/4" from the top of bird to bottom of base. Some well meaning person wrote on the bottom of this '93 To Denise from Auntie Claire 4 pcs. The yellow paint that was used to paint the border shows on the bottom. I Think Auntie bought them used or they were treasures of hers, that she was giving to her niece. I Believe these are older than 1993. I purchased them used not long after that. i am sorry that my photos aren't the best on this, especially #5 &7. #1 shows the tall birdhouse the best, but the close-up of the Mother bird feeding her baby, doesn't do justice !
