As it eventually does with most toy train collectors, the time has come to begin "thinning" my collection, which I have acquired over the past 25 years. The pieces I will be offering include American Flyer S Gauge Post-War, as well as Lionel O Gauge Post-War and Modern. Some diecast modern and other vintage toys will appear from time-to-time. The majority of these pieces will be in C-7 or better condition, some with boxes, some without. It is my hope that those bidding on these items will enjoy them as much as I have.
All of these items will be offered with low opening bid to encourage interest. NO RESERVE, ever.
SHIPPING: My first choice for shipping will be via Priority Mail, then via UPS for larger items. I will always inform the buyer of the shipping method, and will provide tracking numbers as soon as I have them.
I will not ship internationally, please do not ask me to do so.
Within the lower 48 states it will be my policy to ship free of charge. If a winning bidder resides in Alaska, Hawai'i, or other US territory served via the USPS or UPS, an additional charge may be asked to help defray extra costs. The exception will be to Military personnel APO or FPO's, where shipping will always be complimentary and with my thanks for a job well done.
RETURNS: Unless there is a gross misrepresentation of an item on my part, I will accept no returns on any items I will offer. My item descriptions will be as clear and as complete as I can make them. Questions are welcomed. PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BID, to avoid any misunderstanding.
DESCRIPTION: This is a pair of modern "Fifties" tin friction automobiles, each 11" long. These were manufactured in Japan for Leadworks of Cleveland, Ohio during the late 1980's. These are NOT the subsequent inferior Chinese copies. Although I could not photograph this suceessfully, eack car is embossed "50's" and "Made in Japan" on the underside. The friction motors on both function smoothly and quietly. Cosmetically both are in as-new, unplayed-with condition.
I obtained these models at an estate sale, There are no boxes or included paperwork for either.
Thank you for considering this auction.
