This auction is for a magnificent lot of 36 vintage 1950s-1960s Panama City Beach, Florida postcards. They are standard sized, unused postcards depicting at least 20 different scenes, one of the best being an aerial view of the GORGEOUS beaches when t wasn't a condo in sight. The postcards are not discolored, but very sharp and clear, even if my pictures do not portray that. These are becoming harder and harder to find as people are snatching them up since Panama City Beach has become almost unrecognizable in the last 20 years. People want to remember the beach as it was, before it became known worldwide as "The Spring Break Beach." The sandy white beaches have been invaded by hundreds of towering condominiums; the mom & pop fresh seafood places replaced with chain restaurants; and the amusement parks, goofy golf, and petting zoos have been replaced with gas stations, T-shirt shops and tattoo parlors. If I sound a little bitter it is because I have lived my whole life an hour away from Panama City Beach and always thought of it as "my" beach. Anyway.....Be sure to check out my other postcard auctions, as I have many more Panama City Beach scenes. All postcards are new old stock, discovered in a storage building auction buyout. They had been in storage for 50 years! I will gladly combine shipping if you win multiple auctions. Good read more
