VERY DRAMATIC! BEAUTIFUL ARCHITECTURAL ARTIFACTS. OFFERED IN THIS #2 OF 2 AUCTIONS ARE THE LOT OF 4 CATHEDRAL CEILING FIXTURES FROM AN OLD DETROIT CHURCH FROM THE LATE 1800-EARLY 1900's. ARTS AND CRAFTS SHAPE OF GLASS LANTERN. THE WAVY HAND-BLOWN ART GLASS IS A WARM AUBERGINE COLOR. (SEE PHOTOS) THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE 4 (FOUR) LONGER (5 ft) FIXTURES ( not all 7 ), MEASURING: (approx.) FIXTURE: 61"H (5 ft); LIGHTS 8" each side of lamp X 7-1/2" h (not including wiring rod and ceiling cap) (see auction #1 for 2 ft shorter companion fixtures) THEY ARE HAND-BLOWN, WAVY GLASS. THE CORNERS ARE SOLDERED. THEY CAN BE LEFT AS IS (WHICH I HAVE DONE) OR CAN RE-FINISHED. I HAVE NOT RE-WIRED THEM TO SEE IF THEY WORK...BUT MOST OF THE WIRING IS STILL T AND I KNOW THEY CAN BE WIRED TO WORK. ALL HARDWARE APPEARS TO BE T THEY ARE IN EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION WITH, OF COURSE, SIGNS OF NORMAL WEAR DUE TO THEIR AGE. BUT T IS NO SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE WHATSOEVER. THEY ARE ACTUALLY QUITE FABULOUS AND WOULD BE INCREDIBLE IN AN ARTS AND CRAFTS HOME.. IN A CATHEDRAL CEILING....FOR A LOFT....... PLEASE NOTE: ALTOGETHER I AM SELLING SEVEN (7) ANTIQUE. SEE AUCTION #1 FOR THE 2 ft COMPANION FIXTURES. T ARE 3 SHORTER DROP (2 FT) FIXTURES, THESE ARE 4 (5 FT) LONGER FIXTURES. THE LAMP WIRING ROD CAN BE CUT DOWN IF YOU WANT TO CUSTOMIZE THE LENGTHS. (IN THE PHOTO OF ALL SEVEN...6 ARE ON FLOOR, 1 IS HANGING IN UPPER CORNER OF PHOTO IMAGE) AS I MENTIONED, THEY ARE QUITE DRAMATIC. GLASS IS SOLID, INTACT AND IN GOOD SHAPE. THE METAL HOUSINGS (?) PLEASE NOTE: The accompanying AUCTION, #1of 2, Item No. #230059281444 for the 3 Arts & Crafts Hanging Ceiling Lights was ENDED EARLY due to a workman accidentally breaking a panel of glass on one fixture. We both feel terribly although t is nothing that can be done at this point. Good news: T are still 2 available, so if anyone is still interested in the 2 shorter ones, please email me and let me know. SO SORRY for the disappointing news.
