is a lot of Herbert Dubler Bertha Hummel figurines done during WWII when the Nazis forced the Hummel factory to stop producing their traditional porcelain figurines. Herbert Dubler stepped in during those years and made their own Hummels made from a plaster like material. These styles are all exclusive to Herbert Duber and are not copies of particular Hummel styles. The tallest measures 6 inches. Some have some minor chipping. They all have Herbert Dubler Inc. stamped at the back of the base. Two have dates of 1942 and 1943. All have the B. Hummel signature. The company that distributed them eventually distributed Hummel/Goebel in the US. Hard to find these as only about 60 styles were produced. Some were even done in bronze. Shipping is $8.
