Rare lot of beautiful 1880 - 1900 German Dresden cardboard animal ornaments including a stag, bison, moose, lion, pig, camel, bear, elephant. They are approx 2 to 2 1/2 inches each and very detailed. 7 of the 8 are in very good to near excellent condition. The pictures do not do them justice. They are more golden, honey colored to darker browns and gray. Please Note: The lion and the stag have red lips, the stag is pushed in on one side in its hind quarter (please see photo bottom right) but has no other damage, the pig has a few tiny brown spots on both of its sides but is perfect otherwise (please see photos of both sides), the elephant is badly damaged (he is without a trunk, please look at photo). None have been repaired or altered. Original hanging loops are all intact. They are really lovely for the holidays and will hopefully bring you as much joy as they have brought to our family. Please see the group photo in which I have placed a quarter for size reference. They have been kept away in a smoke free home. NO RESERVE.
