Up for auction is a set of 9 original issues of underground newspapers published out of various US and Canada areas. These were newspapers that dealt with the underground counterculture scene in the US in the late 1960's and early 1970's. These issues had reports on the radicals of the day and rock concert ads/reviews, satirical cartoon adult humor, etc. Basically every kind of anti-establishment, left wing cause would be found and celebrated All issues except one are from the tumultuous year of 1968. is what the winning bidder will recieve:1)CANADIAN FREE PRESS--- This issue is Issue 2, Number 3, from 1968. Contains: the sexual revolution, student radicals, Black Panthers, militants, + lots more. 6)THE PAPER---(EAST LANSING, MICHIGAN) This issue is Issue 2, Number 2-- from January 9, 1967. Contains: poetry, challenge to Timothy Leary, + lots more 7)THE PAPER--- This issue is from February, 1968. Contains: racial tensions, comic art, + lots more. 8)THE PAPER--- This issue is Volume 4, Number 1 from Sptember 23, 1968. Contains: issue mostly concerns itself with coverage of the 1968 Democrat Convention debaucle, some on free Huey, Eldridge Cleaver, etc, + lots more. 9)THE PAPER--- This issue is Volume 4, Number 2--- from October 1, 1968. Contains: Viva la revolution, "the streets belong to the people", etc, + lots more. These are newspapers that fold so don't look for mint condition on these...most of them have a lot of flaking, some tears on pages, and are in about OK condition. Some have a mailing label attached. Shipping for this item is $10.00. Overseas winner must pay for Express Mail and insurance as I have had problems with overseas mail being lost so all non-US buyers keep that in mind, and payment is due within 7 days after close of auction.
