For bids are two VERY OLD "Osborne Tillage Implement Catalogs," INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER COMPANY OF AMERICA, advertising harrows and cultivators. I see no date or catalog number on either, but they would be early 1900's. The catalog with the blue circle on the cover is in the best shape of the two. It not only has illustrations of their machines, but some fun old farming photos, as well. Catalog holdes together well, pages all turn, but catalog is stained and rough. The 2nd catalog with the "earth" on the cover has some sticking pages in the lower left corner that may be able to be steamed apart. Both catalogs are approx. 8" x 9.5." 20 pages each. Although old, wrinkled and scarred, as a salvager, I'm always hesitant to part with old paper ephemera. My husband tore down an old local building, and catalogs like this were used as shims under the floor boards! Being of the same ilk as I, of course he saved them. And, that is what preserved them for so long - someone "recycling" them in a building project! I believe the building once was an implement dealer, thus all the old catalogs we have. Don't expect perfection The year is early 1900's, and these catalogs have spent most of their lives under a floor! Thanks for looking and shopping! Back for my 2nd season!
