The Cretan Bull 1 oz. Silver round is the 7th release in the 12 Labors of Hercules series. This round is composed of one troy ounce of .999 fine silver, and was minted in an IRA approved facility. Whistling merrily at his successes so far, Hercules was sent to capture the bull by Eurystheus as his seventh labor.

To accomplish the task at hand Hercules sailed to Crete, whereupon the King, Minos, gave Hercules permission to capture the bull that had been wreaking havoc on Crete. Hercules sneaked up behind the bull, used his hands to strangle it, and then shipped it to Eurystheus who hid at first sight of the creature. His intention was to sacrifice the bull to Hera, who hated Hercules. She refused to sacrifice the bull as it was a symbol of Hercules glory. The bull was later released and wandered into Marathon, becoming known as the Marathonian Bull.
