This auction is for a mixed lot of stamps in Glassine Envelopes that are marked as follows:***#'s300---301---302---303---304---305---306---307---309---319---323---324---329---331---332--- 333---334---335---336---337---338---367(1909)---370---371---372---373---397---398. ***( I Can NOT Verify That The Stamps Are Numbered Correctly, But I Have No Reason To Believe That They Are Not, Because We Have Left Them As they Were).I am not a dealer or a collector, just someone trying to place family memorabilia with those who can enjoy it before our children or grand children put it all into a dumpster. Please view the pictures carefully and bid accordingly, because there is very little that I can tell you about these stamps. The deceased owner (my Husbands Grand Father) started collecting in the late 1800's and died in the 1960's. We have been told by the family that most of the very good ones were given to one of his sons who also collected. Another son (my Husbands Father) then started to go through the remaining ones to sort (got hooked) and started to add to the collection until 1994's when he passed away. We have had these in boxes since 1994 and it is time to pass them on to someone before any further storage damage comes to them. Our children and older grand children want no part of them and the younger grandchildren want them for stickers. read more
