Sing-a-ma-jigs are soft, plush dolls with terrycloth mouths, and measure about 12 inches in length. The dolls make a variety of different noises when squeezed. Each "squeeze" causes the Sing-a-ma-jig to open its mouth to emit noise. The doll's mouth contains a set of plastic teeth that A Sing-a-ma-jig's noises include songs, different notes on the Octave scale, and "Hello!" (or "Ahoy there!") in the case of the aqua Sing-a-ma-jig who sings "By the Beautiful Sea"). They each sing a different song unique to their model. When paired together or in groups, the dolls automatically harmony with each other. Sing-a-ma-jigs were popularized by John Green (author) in his video "Making Adorable Music" which was uploaded to YouTube on October 22, 2010. In this video, John models the red, light blue, yellow, and pink Sing-a-ma-jigs by harmonizing them and forming a simple melody. In spite of being primarily targeted towards young children, Sing-a-ma-jig toys also have acquired popularity amongst older children as well.
