Up for your consideration are 8 United States MilitaryCaptains Bars. These are not in mint condition and so show wear. Some of thepoints on the pins are bent a little (should not be a problem to bend back), minor scratches, and will need a good polish. Each pin measures approximately 1 inch. I have two different scales and weighed the pins on both. One scale reads 64 grams and the other reads 62 grams. So the amount of sterling is in the range of 62 and 64 grams. I did weigh the pins without the clutch backs because I do not believe the backs are sterling. Bar pins read STERLING on the back side Clutch pins read- NS Meyer Inc. New York Sterling (backside). There are a couple badge symbols stamped on the backside also. Unfortunately I do not know what they mean.
