One with blue/red/yellow first-style ribbon and two with yellow/blue/yellow second-style ribbon, authorized 1905 for service "ashore or on the high seas" during the initial phase of the Spanish-American War in Cuba (May 11-July 17, 1898), Puerto Rico (July 24-August 13, 1898), and the Philippines (June 30-August 16, 1898). Over 18,000 Army medals were issued in No., M. No. and unprefixed versions. These medals were awarded to 2067 Otto Trenkle, Comsy Sgt.,14th Cavalry on Apr. 6, 1908. Medal 356? to Paul A. Wolf, Capt., 4th Inf., awarded Jan. 8, 1908. Ribbon with later silver Citation Star. Medal 3920 to Orson L. Early 2nd Lt., (unit unknown) resigned, on Oct. 9, 1908. Lot further includes an untraceable WWI Victory Medal with single campaign bar. Condition: Medals toned, near excellent. Ribbons frayed.
