Recently rescued from an Estate Auction Recently rescued from an Estate Auction When it hits ROCK BOTTOM, I rescue. DESCRIPTION # : VINTAGE LOT OF 5 SMALL ANIMAL PLANTERS, so ADORABLE, some appear to be SHAWNEE. None of them are marked on the bottom, but they are all very vintage, all hand painted and hand crafted. These are the type of planters from the late 40's-50's that look adorable and are easy-to-maintain with a single English Ivy or trailing Philodendron planted. TROUBLED CAT & SAD DONKEY are my two favorites!! The kitty cat is the most Shawnee looking piece with his over exaggerated eye lashes. He is so cute in a little blue sailor type outfit, looking like he just got caught doing something naughty! The little SAD DONKEY just wants all this to be over and get a happy secure home where he can siesta. He's the one that is stamped Hand-Painted Japan. The planter PUPPY is just exuberant with energy, playing with a child's shoe. "Thumper" type Bunny eagerly stands next to his basket of carrots. Little patchwork elephant in baby colors stands in front of a Wedge planter "Baby Book". All are original pieces, may have some minor dirt residue in them. All are vintage pieces, some older than others surface includes crazing, mold marks, variations in shades and each piece has its own unique characteristics. Most have a flea bite or two around the rims, these pieces have been loved and enjoyed. The photos will show them in all their glory. They are the most wonderful group, just brimming with nostalgia and personality, and small enough to fit in with any type of décor. This item qualifies for 50-50 shipping.
