Finally parting ways with my beloved collection of Britains toy soldiers. I'm not sure if a vintage lot like this comes around very often with more than 165 pieces in it. Yes, I played with these as a child, but I also took very good care of them. Most, if not all, the soldiers' guns are straight....not bent. This listing contains several rare pieces. Since I could only post a dozen pictures, I did the best I could to give you some idea of what's included (feel free to request additional photos.) All of these sets of soldiers, vehicles, etc. have been discontinued for years So, here is as accurate a description as I can give of this lot: 1 Britains Toy Catalogue from 1985, 24-pages German WWII troops (1971 listed on the bottom of the base) : 45 soldiers in 12 different poses - only a handful don't have decals on their helmets. I believe there is at least one soldier for each pose produced by Britains. One rare flamethrower. 2 Mortar teams 1 dispatch rider with tan rifle on his back 1 motorcycle with sidecar 1 Kubelwagen scout car 1 field gun 1 Kubelwagen scout car and field gun (in orginal box, which has wear and tear) 1 two-person Ketterand 1 Africa Korps dispatch rider British WWII troops (1971 listed on the bottom of the base) : 13 soldiers in six poses. Again, I believe there's at least one soldier for each pose produced by Britains. 2 25 pound guns with one crew - the guns may be from different years (I have a beat up original box for this) 2 dispatch motorcycles riders (two different motorcycles) 1 Mortar team 1 British Assault craft/raft with two soldiers in it 1 two-man submarine 3 British 8th Army desert troops 2 British 8th Army desert Vickers Machine Gun team (one contains all 9 pieces of ammo unopened and one has six pieces of ammo.) a1 Britsh 8th Army desert scout car Daimler MK II U.S. WWII troops (1971 listed on the bottom of the base, none pictured) : 15 soldiers -- I believe there's at least one soldier for each pose produced, four without helmet decals, one broken grease gun 1 jeep 1 jeep in original box (box has wear and tear) 1 dispatch motorcycle rider 1 recoilless rifle (with four pieces of ammo) 1 U.S. Hughes 300C helicopter with metal landing frame, rotating blades, hoist, two men and a casualty. It has some wear, but also comes with its original 1979 box. 1978 British Commandos/Paratroopers: 9 Paratroopers Red Beret -- at least one of each pose produced 9 Commando Paratroopers Grey Beret -- at least one of each pose produced 9 Marine Commandos Green Beret -- at least one of each pose produced **These appear to have all been made in England. Several pieces of plastic ammo for mortars, field guns, etc. are included in the lot. $25 priority shipping and insurance in the U.S. I will consider shipping to Canada and Europe...but you must be willing to work with me on the cost.
