This is a lot of very old casting reels and a fly reel. Some of them have the original boxes and instructions with them. These were all my grandfathers that I found when I cleaned out my mother's attic. I'll try to explain each one as good as I can. The one that goes in the red box is called a MODERN no 500 level winding reel. It's also labeled L.W.A.B.L. which stands for level winding anti backlash reel. It states Bronson reel company Mich on it, capacity 100 yds average silk It is in it's original box with instructions for cleaning and oiling. It works very nice in excellent shape. Next we have a South Bend 550 level winding anti backlash casting reel in original box [see yellow box] with the original instructions. Also has the original screwdriver tool still in a tiny envelope that was never opened. Also what I find very rare is the card stating what line the reel had on it. It says 18lbs test of pure japan hard braided silk black water proof casting line, WOW. The next one was in the white box which is a fly rod reel. It has no name on it other than the number 60 on it. It does have some heavy duty waxed fly line on itThe box says featherlight crown quality 60, good working condition. Next is PFLUEGER SKILKAST Trademark #1953 made in the USA. , nice shape It has engraving on one side and on the top where the reel handle is. Next read more
