United Cutlery Shards of Narsil The winner of this auction will receive a SHARDS OF NARSIL Sword (United Cutlery). Narsil is the most famous of the Lord of the Rings story and this is the most rare of the United Cutlery collection (UC1296). Each piece is individually hand weatd and distressed, just like the actual prop, to simulate the 3000 year time span from the time Sauron broke the blade until it is seen again in Rivendell. At the end of the second age of "Middle-Earth", Narsil's blade was shattered, as Elendil fell during the Last Alliance of Elves and Men in the great battle against Sauron, creating the "Shards of Narsil." The Shards of Narsil is presented on 47" solid wood wall display plaque, with silk-screened design. The hilt is removable and the shards are permanently mounted on the massive plaque. The hilt features a solid metal crossguard and pommel with an antique silver plated finish and 24k gold plated fittings. The pommel is inscribed with runes in the Elven language of Sindarin and the grip is wrapped in genuine leather. The shards are crafted of solid metal and have an antique metal finish. This collectible is strictly limited to only 5000 pieces and each piece is individually serialized for authenticity . This piece is #379 of 5000 . very low numbered (Includes a parchment certificate of authenticity, along with a second certificate personally autographed by the production artist John Howe, who designed the Hilt on the Narsil sword . The sword was designed by production designer Ben Wooten.) T is a ding on the plaque from the box that it was shipped in, they that can easily be covered. The sword is good condition. The handle is removable from the display plaque. This is from a limited edition to 5000 pieces. Each piece is serial numbered, t his piece is number 379 of 5000.
